Please read these important instructions for how to attend and present at HyFlex Collaborative Conference. The conference will use AcademicExperts as your Conference Hub to access the schedule, meeting rooms and more! Please review these instructions and FAQ before attending or presenting on Thursday, June 27th.

Where do I go?

The conference is taking place on AcademicExperts.org, through the use of Zoom. All links to the session Zoom rooms will be listed within the daily schedule of sessions on AE by selecting the linked “Room A, B, C or D”. To protect the security of the conference, these links and passwords will be only live linked on the day of the conference.

Set up your AcademicExperts Profile

Before your first day at HyFlex Collaborative Conference 2024, be sure to set up your AcademicExperts profile for participant session planning, Zoom Meeting access and social interaction. Log in using the email address used to register and create your profile here: https://academicexperts.org/accounts/register/

*If you experience a Server Error here, simply go back to https://academicexperts.org/conf/hyflex/2024/

Create your Profile from Edit Profile (dropdown menu from your name at top) and add a photo, organization, links, publications, etc.

How to Attend

Schedule Planning, Meeting Room Access & Social Platform

AcademicExperts.org will function as your Conference Navigator to:

  • plan your session schedule
    • select the “i” icon or presentation hyperlink for presentation details
  • create a planner
    • select the “calendar +” icon to add sessions to your personal planner
  • access live meeting rooms in Zoom
    • select the “Enter Room Name” to enter desired Zoom Room.
  • connect with and message participants
    • select attendees to view and connect
  • create your personal profile
    • register here https://academicexperts.org/accounts/register/ using the same email used to register for the conference
  • include in your profile imported publications from LearnTechLib.org – The Learning & Technology Library
  • create and participate in discussions connected to every presentation as well as  outside of presentations
  • view social web feeds

Accessing Meeting Rooms 

Select the hyperlink, for example: “Enter Room A”. This will immediately open the correct Zoom Room for that session. If a password is required, please enter “hyflex”. To switch to the next meeting room, simply close that Zoom window and select for example, “Enter Room B”.

Links to Zoom meeting rooms will be provided each day of the conference in the AcademicExperts schedule. You will find this link listed as the “Enter Room Name” for each presentation.

Upon entering the meeting room, your microphone will be muted. Please only unmute your mic if you are the scheduled speaker at that time or if the presenter invites you to unmute. Please be respectful and release your mic or shared screen at the end of your presentation.

When entering a live presentation, we ask that unless you are the scheduled presenter for that time slot, to please keep your microphone muted.

How to Present

At your scheduled time to present, simply wait to be prompted by your Moderator to Share your screen and unmute your microphone. You will have control of your presentation and Zoom window. Please be sure to test your mic and audio before presenting.
